We Go Round and Round

In between chores and getting ready for making turnouts, I decided to keep putting down cork roadbed. I had planned on waiting until I built some turnouts, but the pull to finish the loop was too much.

I purchased some turnout cork pads and installed them based on my track lines. It won't be a big issue if I have to move some of them later. I was able to use mostly full cork strips but around the turnout pads I did have to do some "creative" corking :)

Now that this is finished, I am definitely focusing on making those turnouts. I had already started cutting the guard rails for the first ones until I got pulled away by the cork adventure.
